I <3 iPhone

Hey World,

iphone loveI hope everyone had an awesome Christmas. For us Hispanic or at lease in central america we celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December not the 25th. So, we had our big celebration at one of the sisters from church house’s. It was a birthday party/Christmas party that was so much fun! I loved it and I gave everyone some of my homemade cookies. They loved them and the moms were asking for the recipe. LOL! What cookies did I make? Well, I made several: Chocolate chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Triple Threat, and Snickerdoddles cookies. Yum!! They all enjoyed the and I enjoyed the party. Fun times, fun times. After, we got home and gave each other presents. I got some new boots, a journal, a baking cook book (YEAH!!) and a purse. It was awesome!

So, why do I heart (love) my iPhone? You see I never got what was the big deal with the iPhone until I slowly started to explore its wonders. And let me tell you it’s wonderful! I can do all my socializing in the palm of my hand. As you may already know I’m a Pinterest addict and i’m Facebook a lot, know I can upload pictures and make them cool with Flickr, Instagram and all those picture editing apps. Don’t even get me started with the blog apps (WordPress, blogger and  tumblr). WOW, so amazing. I’m never been a big twitter person but now I can starting to update at lease once every other week compared to once a year. LOL! Love my iPhone!  Thank you Apple company! Thank you Steve Jobs, RIP!!!! But one thing I love the most is that while I’m exploring, building, capturing, destroying then rebuilding, posting, liking, and posting is that I can listen to all my favorite music from Pandora!

So, 2011 was ruff, 2011 was a growing year, but as John 2:10 says,“People always serve the best wine first. Later, when the guests are drunk, they serve the cheaper wine. But you have saved the best wine until now.” My best “wine” was at the end of this year. It’s not just the gifts (which are nice) but everything that was unraveled is slowly putting itself back together… thanks God…

My iPhone is icing on the cake. Gosh, I love that thing. LOL! Have an awesome New Years celebration! Check out my Flickr page, I’ll post the new years pic on it! L8R!!

Wish List

Hey World,

Well, today I was looking for a book on how to sew bags on Amazon. Side note: I love AMAZON! Anyway, one thing lead to another and now I have about 10+ books on my wish list. I was wondering what all I had on my wishlist so I clicked. 75% of the things on my wishlist were books. Gosh, I never felt like such a nerd. LOL! But I wouldn’t change my wish list for the world. Yeah, I have a kindle but nothing beats an actual book. Another item in my wish list was postcards. I know, lame. But as a nerd, I like writing to. I just happen to like writing letters and notes, let’s not forget sticky notes.  Next item I found was music. I wishlist cd’s I’d totally forgotten and once I saw them again I started YouTube-ing the songs I fell in love with. Oh this one is alright…glow in the dark stars. I can just imagine your face, the “are you serious” face. well I wanted to cover my celing with those stars I only have one corner done…I need to finish that. Also, their is a futon, some DVD’s, a Polaroid Camera, Benton box’s, and electronics. Sigh, I need to find something cool to add to my wish list and I was wrong about the percentage of books it’s more like 80-90% books. Well, that’s all for today. L8r

Christmas for reals + Finals

Hey World,

Well, it’s been a real surprise. I got a iPhone today just because. I was so happy I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t pay it or have to do pay for it now, not even the service. Crazy right. Well, I did have a stressful day. From waking up late running across town and studying. It wasn’t to bad but I do stress out specially for finals. But once I did the test it slowly started coming to me. One of the girls let me read the study questions for the one book I didn’t read on and I basically memorize it in 2 minutes because once the test started I answered all the question. Oh, I wasn’t cheating. I got to class early and the girls were their so we all studied together. They looked at me and were you know everything don’t you. I was like not really. They gave me that, “Yeah, right,” look and I said well, I don’t know, “The Tale of Genji,” so they were like oh, okay here are our study question responses and I was like thank you. Okay this is getting lame. Anyway to finish it off.  I turned in my test. He told me to turn my paper I forgot to write (my very first paper like in August) and if I didn’t I’d be okay, grade wise. WOW! I know, I was so happy. I’m going to write it anyways whats a few extra points right.
Changing the subject, I’m so excited for christmas. I have my list ready for my family and everyone else is just getting some homemade cookies, cheesecake, or red velvet cake. Yum! I’m excited. But I won’t start getting everything ready until next week (2oth). Well I have a killer headache so I’m going to let you go. Peace.

The Joy of Cooking

Hey World,

Wow, it’s been a while. Well today I was making a lasagna (from this Website Click: Lasagna) for the first time and I just finish eating a piece with my bro, mom and dad. I have to say that it was awesome! I loved it so much more because my dad and mom were loving it. My dad doesn’t like pasta/Italian food that much but he really liked my lasagna. Total confident boost. I also have made cookies! Not today but I got into a baking cookie from scratch faze and my dad loved them (He usually doesn’t like what I cook. I usually make american food. He being a hard core Hispanic… well you get the picture). Mom and dad like snicker-doodle cookies the best. I found this out after several weeks of baking different types of cookies. Kids, seem to like any type of cookie. I made kids at Ozone cookies and yeah they were gone. My next cookie phase I think is going to make cakes from scratch…well lets start small, cupcakes. Yeah, cupcakes! I’m excited. I love baking and cooking. It makes me even more happy when I cook for family and friends. That I think is my true joy in cooking. I’ll post the recipes I have made when I get a chance. Later!
