Me, Myself and I

Hey World,

AGGWell I’ve been at camp for the past 7 weeks and let me tell ya…I’ve learned a lot. One of the “lots” I learned is about myself. I learn about things that eark me and what type of personality I have. So let me share with you what I learned.

Okay first thing is something I’ve always know, I’m kind of introverted. definition is
1.a shy person.

2.Psychology . a person characterized by concern primarily with his or her own thoughts and feelings.
This to me is kind of funny. I never knew their was a word for it. So anyway, I’m a shy person. How so? Well, I’m not one to go up to someone to talk to them like other people.  I get a little to self conscious and think that they will think I’m weird or something. Anyway, my goal was to meet more people at camp and get to know them better. So I would coach my self (in my head) and be like, “introduce yourself, say Hi, don’t turn around. Don’t think to much.” Yes, you can laugh it’s stupid and funny all at once. So this summer I felt I made a lot of progress in that part. Well, for that last statement I should say with girls, boys…that’s a different story. As the saying goes, “Roman wasn’t built in a day.” So, Aracely wasn’t turned into a social butterfly in a day. I’m still going through my caterpillar stage. LOL!
So another thing I learn about myself is that I’m really timid. I’m afraid of about…everything. I did better and breathed and coach myself into doing stuff. By doing stuff I mean, the ropes coarse (around 60 feet in the air), yeah I’m completely terrified of heights. Going up stairs puts my heart a pumping. For a while the top bunk was a little scary but do able.  So I did it…once and that is enough for me. Another thing is…the blob. The blob is this Big, Huge no Massive Pillow looking thing that is filled with air floating on water. So, you basically jump from a platform to it (trying to land sitting down) and if someone is on the other end of the Blob they get “BloB” which means they get thrown into the air and they land on the water below.  Sigh, yeah… I learned to love it as I force myself to do it several times. At the end I loved it.  Swimming is another thing. I’m not sure if you all know I didn’t know how to swim until 4 years ago. So my timid self couldn’t handle swimming on the deep end (water above my head). This summer I worked at it and was able to swim down to the bottom of the 9 feet deep water. Not that big of a deal to most but to me that was a step on the moon. I was so proud of myself. Good moment and I didn’t do it once I did it several times. Now bring on the 14 feet…as soon as I can master doing at lease 15 laps on the pool.
Furthermore I’m also clueless (in more than one way). HA! Yeah, it was so funny to find that out. Not because I didn’t know but to see how evident it was. Yeah, well not only that but when people said stuff it would go over my head. I totally didn’t get a lot of stuff. I got some of them later and some I still don’t get. I guess you need to be really direct with me.
Another thing is that I’m kind of a space cadet, not in the sense that i’m dumb. I zone out all the time and would try to act like I knew what was going on. LOL! One of my girls was like, ” its weird when you zone out because you eyes widen.”  Also, I caught myself imagining my own little story without noticing. Lets just say that the adventures going on in my head would make really great books.  That is on my bucket list to write an awesome book!
To  continue, I learned that I’m selfish. But I also think everyone is selfish… In conclusion, I learned that I need to rely on God more and seek Him for reals. I didn’t do it the right way. I did it the half -A**** way but, I’m working on doing it the right way. I started reading the bible and it’s AMAZING. TOTALLY BLOW MY MIND.  I read 1 Timothy and Philippians like 3 times each and each time I learned something. So crazy! Anyway, I’m working on reading the other books.
So in the end these are some of the things I learned about myself and of course their are others I didn’t include. Study yourself and see what earks you and what stops you from doing things and what make you, you! It’s an adventure!
